Update: I've found apps Keyboard Maestro and Alfred that seem to provide the feature I need, but it's a bit costly to buy an app for mere clicks emulation (: I also tried ShortCat, but it has a way different use-case than what I need. On Windows, I know there is a cool free utility named AutoHotkey that allows to create any logic to handle and modify the inout of keyboard and mouse, but I cannot find anything similar for MacOS. Therefore, I'd like for both mouse clicking and a keyboard's key pressing to point to the same action, and unfortunately the app doesn't allow this by default. Create a macro and set the Trigger to Hot Key. Open System Preferences -> Keyboard and set Press to to Do Nothing Step 2: Keyboard Maestro. Note that this requires Keyboard Maestro. Download and install the KeyTweak tool from here. I wanted a way to be able to re-map this key to anything I wanted. The KeyTweak Remapping Interface: the virtual on screen keyboard allows you to select the key you would like to remap and assign a functionality of your choice to it. The app allows to remap that action to a keyboard key press, but this also leads to inactive mouse clicks in GUI which is confusing. The KeyTweak tool is a widely used key remapping tool that lets you reassign the functionality of your keyboard’s keys. I use an editor software that requires a lot of mouse clicking, and my finger get really tired of the hard touchpad.
